The Diablo Range along the San Andreas Fault is sparsely populated and is
already a hazardous area for people due to earthquake danger. The low human
population would be compatible with recovery of the California Grizzly Bear.
Pinnacles National Monument is adjacent to other public BLM land, which makes up a significant portion of the area.
No active reintroductions would take place in either CGRA 4 or 5. Natural recolonizations would be allowed to occur from CGRA 3.
