GasOliNe IS a dRUg.*
My 2-year experiment in immersing myself in reality is over.
I give up.
I will once again use gasoline to escape
reality.
The reality that places are far apart, it takes a lot of energy to travel
between them, and a lot of energy to transport goods.
When gas runs out, how will we do these things?
A reality that I tried to
share with others. But the drug is too strong.
Ever watch The Matrix? Same thing. Seems real, doesn't it?
Acoustic #3
Goo Goo Dolls, 1998
They painted up your secrets
With the lies they told you
And the least they ever gave you
Was the most you ever knew
And I wonder
where these dreams go
When the world gets in your way
What's the point in all this screaming
No one's listening anyway
Your voice is small and
fading
And you hide in here unknown
And your mother loves your father
'Cause she's got nowhere to go
And she wonders where these
dreams go
'Cause the world got in her way
What's the point in ever trying
Nothing's changing anyway
They press their lips
against you
And you love the lies they say
And I tried so hard to reach you
But you're falling anyway
And you know
I see right through you
'Cause the world gets in your way
What's the point in all the screaming
You're not listening anyway

* Bush is pushing this drug so
his buddies can get richer. It is just a temporary high. Don't do it. When you
come down there's a heck of a hangover.
**This is an awesome album. You should buy it. And rock out to it often.
I bought a motorcycle in July 2002. It gets 60 mpg and takes up little space. In January 2004, I bought a 91 Honda Civic that gets 40 mpg. This will end some twisted things that not having a car caused me to do, such as borrowing poor-mileage vehicles, and ride my motorcycle in freezing weather when Inyo Mono Transit didn't show up. I plan to convert this car to an electric vehicle.
